Enabling SSL?

Hello, everyone.

I am running CF9.0.1 + 2 hotfixes on an Alienware Area51 / Windows7 / Intel i7 Core 2.8GHz / 12M Ram system.  I installed CF with the built-in webserver, stand-alone.  I am trying to enable SSL for testing.

I have followed the instructions located here, but after several tweaks and restarts I am getting the "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" message.

The only inconsistency between the instructions and what I did is: instructions said to go to {drive}{cf_root}runtime\servers\default\SERVER-INF\jrun.xml and edit it.  Well, I don't have a \default\ folder, but I do have \admin\ and \coldfusion\.  I have modified the xml file in both directories.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Thank you,

^_^

Has anyone successfully enabled SSL on a CF9.0.1 installation using the included webservice?

How about use IIS put your SSL there and connect CF9 to IIS? I have not done SSL with CF9 built-in webserver myself. There is this CF8 blog that might provide you the necessary details:

I'm not that savvy.  The work environment that I'm in, all developers have CF Server installed to their local machine with the built-in web service.  But I don't think any of them have tried SSL.  I was just seeing if it can be done.

Anyone have any thoughts/suggestions for this?  Could a lack of a \default\ directory be the culprit?  Anything else might prevent SSL from working?

    Thank you,
