Error logs not logging messages

I do not know if it is related but since I applied the recent security patches to CF 8.0.1, the log files no longer log messages, e.g., application.log.  Through the administrator, it will rotate the logs, but no new messages appear even though errors occur in the application.  This is using the multiserver installation option of the enterprise version.  I am unable to find an postings related to this issue.

Go to the page Debugging & Logging => Log Files in the Coldfusion Administrator.Verify that the names of the log files are all on the list.

Navigate to the page Debugging & Logging => Logging Settings in the Coldfusion Administrator. Verify that the path-value in the field 'Log directory' is actually an existing directory on the server, and that it is the directory for CF801's log files.

If not, enter the value of the absolute path to CF801's log directory. Verify also that the 'Maximum file size (KB)'  is greater than 0, say, 5000.
