Error trying to install CF 2021

I'm getting the following error trying to install CF 2021 on virtual Windows 10 (VirtualBox).

"Invalid directory path for Coldfusion Home."

The error happened when I clicked "Next" on the "ColdFusion Installation Directory". The directory I entered was "C:\ColdFusion2021". The directory definitely exists.

    Odd. You shouldn't have had to enter anything. ColdFusion should itself enter that path automatically as the default installation directory.

    Where did you get the installation file from? If in doubt, download the ColdFusion 2021 installer from http://www.cfmlrepo.com/

    I would then:

    1. delete everything about the ColdFusion installation so far;
    2. restart Windows;
    3. launch VirtualBox;
    4. do the ColdFusion 2021 installation, using the default directory chosen by ColdFusion itself.

    Are you sure that that is the directory in your virtual environment? You should import the installation file into VirtualBox, then launch the installer there.

    Yes the directory definitely exists in the virtual enrivonment, and the installation file was downloaded and installed from inside the VirtualBox.
