It's been a long time since I moved to a new version of CF. I have a Win 2003 box with CF 7 and I need to move to a new server running Win 2008 IIS7 and CF 8 what is the best way to move without having to manually setup all new scheduler, DSN, mapping, and sandbox entries. Just to complicate I also have a client 6.1 Linux box that is also moving to CF 8 on Win 2008 IIS7, any suggestions?

Well fortunately we were using Enterprise version of CF 7 and simply created an archive with the settings that we wanted to transfer and imported them into CF 8 with very little "clean-up" needed. You do have to obviously keep directory layouts similar or edit the archve file before import. We now make sure to make a archive file every so often that gets backed up just in case we have to reinstall server. IMHO Adobe should allow this feature on all versions of CF as this seems very necessary to insure some level of backup for all your config files.
