Hi, I am fairly new ro Coldfusion. I have coldfusion enterprise edition on one server and would like to install an external web server. Is it possible to access coldfusion from the external Web Server? Do I have to install a new copy of coldfusion or JRun on the web server?

Thanks,

Lynn Alvey

Use the server you have it installed on as your external web server. Just redirect the network to give the server a public IP address.

Yes it is possible, I've never done it, but lots of people do. You do
not have to install CF on the web server, just copy the directory that
has the web configuration tool to it. You then use this tool to connect
the web sites on the web server to the cold fusion server.
