I'm putting together my first site using coldfusion and would like to add forums, are there any good coldfusion-based forums out there or should I just use phpbb, SMF or some such thing? It's my first time working with forums so any and all comments appreciated!

Also, I'm a bit worried about coldfusion forums seeing as how the search function on this site returns "Variable FTVAR_RESULTTYPE is undefined". 😉

The forum you're reading right now is powered by Fusetalk.

Galleon is a good basic one:

If you search RIAForge for 'forum' it lists six other ColdFusion and|or
Flex based projects.

Go to RIAForge.com and download the Galleon Forums from Ray "No Human Could Possibly Build This Many Awesome Open-Source Apps" Camden ( http://galleon.riaforge.org/). Galleon is easy to install and use and Ray provides very solid documentation to get you rolling.

I've used Galleon a few times and had good experiences with it.

Have fun!
