Question

Help - need a CF webhost

I'm in need of some help finding a new host with coldfusion support for my company's website. We had been using Readyhosting for some time, but after the buyout by Endurance Int'l Group, they've gone from good to abysmal.

Looking for something in the ballpark of $20/month. Server space and bandwidth needs are minimal, so shared hosting is fine. Would be nice, but not necessary, to have cffile enabled. No other real needs besides a good mailbox with multiple (25+) accounts.

I've been leaning toward cfdynamics.com, based on a few good reviews and lack of other options. It's absolutely frustrating that you can't just google "cf host reviews" without getting nothing but pages upon pages of obviously paid/spam listings and fake "reviews".

Any help anyone can provide would be very much appreciated.
Don

STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! FROM - HOSTCENTRIC -

    Poorly undertrained reps.
Horrible MSSQL support, even though you pay extra for it!
    No Enterprise Manager support
    No DSN
    Horrible CF support
    Crappy Customer Service attitude
They take servers offline for 'maintenance' to enhance the 'speed' way too often, somtimes for more than 4 hours at a time!

I would like to recommend http://www.hostingatoz.com as I am having very good exp. with them. First I was having doubts as they are offering so much (250 MB Space + 5 GB Bandwidth for $19.99/year i.e. $1.67/mo) for so less but I when I read a review about them on EasyForum - Hosting A to Z...Opinions? , I immediately signed up with them. Why? Because this was a review of hostingatoz from EasyForum Admin - Mr.Griefer who has so much reputation in the world of ColdFusion. Also, a few people had also recommended this host on CF-Talk ( http://www.houseoffusion.com) list.

So far I am having excellent exp. with them and I recommend them to everybody.

    Don,
I was in your shoes a few months back. I decided to go with Hostmysite.com. The administration is incredibly easy to use (and you can pretty much do whatever you like). The support is unmatched, too. I usually don't like chat-based tech support, but every time I've used it, it's taken me no longer than 10 minutes to solve the problem. For about $200 a year, you get a ton of disk space, bandwidth, email addresses and more. Highly recommended!

    These guys are phenomenal:

    http://hostingatoz.com/shared_hosting.cfx

Moved there after good things said on other cfm forums and previous host
    letting me down.
    Support is super quick.
    cffile supported.
And, no, it's not a mis-print, the shared plans do start from $8 per YEAR.
Oh, and no, I don't work for them. Just a very satisfied customer :)

I have had extraordinary results with viux. I am a reseller but I'm not selling you anything so this is as unbiased as I can be. I've tried several, and viux rocks.

    Thanks for the response Ken.

I did a few searches after posting and found those two recommended the most on this forum. I think we'll go with either one of those.

Without meaning any offense to anyone - is there a relationship between hostmysite and Adobe? I noticed many of the site moderators are recommending hostmysite, while general members often lean toward crystaltech.
