Question

How to enable SSL for ColdFusion Administrator running on internal ColdFusion port with CF2021?

I read this article https://helpx.adobe.com/coldfusion/kb/enable-ssl-coldfusion-administrator.html about making the CFADMIN use SSL with CF2021.  But I don't understand this line: "Make sure you also import the private key and have the correct key pair."

How do you import the private key?

Thanks!

I think what the documentation means is that you should import in your keystore the private key as well as the certificate.

You could, for example, follow these steps:

    1.  Use OpenSSL to create your own self-signed certificate. You will then have a certificate and a private key.

    2.  Create a PKCS12 keystore to store the certificate and private key.
