Question

How to get it to the REAL server

I am still wondering after installing CFMX 7 and wondering around the net about getting my stuff to the net.
I installed CFMX 7 on my machine (WinXP SP2) and it's running perfectly.
But when I've created all my local files, how do I upload them to my provider's machine (on the internet)?
I know how to get a HTML/PHP site to my provider, but do I/they have to install CFMX 7 on their machine to?
Or do the .cfm files make use of an "CF-decoder" machine at Macromedia?

Hopefully someone can help me?
I was really looking forward to working with CF, but this "problem" makes it less attravtive to my productions.

Greetz,
Nilz

www.hostdpeartment.com is cheap with good support (livechat) so is www.hostingfuse.com (cheasp but poor support-like only at sign up asnd they never answer emails!)

You have to find a host that supports cold fusion. If your isp does not, you have to find someone who does.

You find a host that supports or has CF installed already. There are heaps
out there, and prices are comparable to any other hosting I have seen - so
don't be set back if your first search for CF hosting finds it a bit on the
pricey side - there are good cheap ones out there. Secondly, you will need
to ftp the files to the hosts server. You can do this in DW or using a 3rd
party ftp client. Then you will want to move your DB to the server as well.
Your host should have instructions on doing this.
