I need to build  an electronically signed PDF application to replace a Docusign type product

I need to build  an electronically signed PDF application to replace a Docusign type product that we currently use. We are using CF2021. Can anyone point me to where someone has done work on something like this, best pracrtices or any issues I should think about before proceeding?
