I need to build  an electronically signed PDF application to replace a Docusign type product

I need to build  an electronically signed PDF application to replace a Docusign type product that we currently use. We are using CF2021. Can anyone point me to where someone has done work on something like this, best pracrtices or any issues I should think about before proceeding?

I posted this similar question 3 years ago. I wanted to see if there are better options now.

    Look into cfpdf. I think you can use it to do the project.
