- ADOBE STAFF PLEASE ANSWER ASAP  - When will ColdFusion 2016 Support Windows 2016 Server?The problem seams limited to just the installer because sadly the product installs and works just fine on Windows 10.I have a $60,000.00 major production system upgrade ON-HOLD over this because our IT policies REFUSE us to install an older operating system for new deployments where the need for the windows server will outlast the life of the OS. We have had to put the vendor ON-HOLD and management is wanting answers.

I'm trying to reduce the width of the border around my cfgrid. I want a 1 px border, but the grid is showing up with a 2 or 3 px border. I tried using the style attribute, but it has no effect on the grid. In fact, I don't even see my style attribute being output anywhere in the document.When I inspect the grid, I see a div (<div id="cfgrid1283278813192"... >) that has an inline style:"width: 625px; border: 1px solid rgb(204, 204, 204); overflow: hidden; height: 500px;"When I change this inline style, and set the border to 0, the grid renders the way I want. But I don't see a way to gain control over this inline style. It seems like my style attribute should be applied in this div.Is this broken or am I missing something?

Configuration: Coldfusion 2016 Standard 64-bit on Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard - 64bit, Java 1.8.We need to create datasources to several Access databases. (Comments regarding Access not helpful; we do not control this). We do see that Access is not listed on the Systems Support Matrix, however the April 2016 post referenced below seems to indicate that connections can still be made.We have successfully created such connections in ColdFusion 11 Standard (Server 2012 R2 Standard), but so far cannot create them in Coldfusion 2016 Standard.   The error is 'The specified data source is not defined'.Have followed to the letter the solution mentioned in this post, to no avail.  Have compared the registry values for both Software/ODBC/ODBC.INI/[datasource] and Wow6432Node/ODBC/ODBC.INI/[datasource] in CF 2016 to those in CF11, no differences.Have successfully installed Ucanaccess  (jdbc driver for Access) and can connect to databases.  However, driver does not prop

Hello, all,I was just wondering if there is a way to set folder attributes using CFDIRECTORY in CF10 Server, or CF11.I'm specifically looking for a way to use CFDIRECTORY to create a folder (if it doesn't already exist) and set it so that file execution is disabled.  Set it so that all files within are strictly read/write/delete, nothing else.I notice that *nix servers can take advantage of the 'mode' attribute for CFDIRECTORY.  Very nice, sadly we are in a Windows environment, so that will do no good.V/r,^_^

I have a file uploaded to my site http://www.mysite.org/coned/media/106.mp4I looked in the folder, the file is definitely there.It's a new project, and there are only a couple of other files in the folder, one is an mp3 one is a wmv.  Both of those open.This mp4 file is giving me a 404 error.Any thoughts on why?Thanks

Using ColdFusion 9 and SQL Server 2008. Have cfgrid with dates. The date columns are not displayed but text boxes are bound to those columns and are displayed. The SQL Server data types are datetime which store in this format - mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss. The cfgrid displays the date as 2011-01-20 14:52:32.167. In the cfgrid code I have tried "mask" and "number format" and neither alter the date display. Any suggestions?Could I possibly change the format in the text boxes. I'm getting the following error when trying to use cfcompile: "Webroot specified does not exist"This is the command I've used:  cfcompile –deploy D:\website D:\website\cfcompilein D:\website\cfcompileoutMy default website which I would think would be my webroot is defined in IIS as D:\website. I am using the developer version of CF 11 for my test environment.  I tried adding a site in IIS yesterday morning and it wouldn't process CF pages.  So I used the web server connector and added the site.  However, it didn't work.  Every CF page just comes up blank.So I removed everything in the web server connector and re-added for ALL sites.   It looks like everything installed okay. I've checked that the config files are there (in C:\ColdFusion11\config\wsconfig\1\), and I checked that the handlers are correctly configured and they are.  The CFIDE and Jakarta virtual directories are there and pointed to the right place and the Jakarta has execute permissions.  The ISAPI filter is in place as well.  However, now everything including the CF admin comes up blank.Any ideas on where I might look to troubleshoot?

Hi,I'm evaluating ColdFusion Builder 2016 (3.1.0) as a plugin for Eclipse (4.3.2) and with ColdFusion 10. I think it has a lot of nice features that would improve my current development environment but the performance when using it for a large CF project is poor unfortunately and some functionality is not even possible to use. I'm now trying to find out if this is normal and if I can do anything about it. Performance for a small test project is ok, it is when I use it on a big CF project I run into issues. The project has a couple of hundreds cfm files and a couple of thousands cfc files. It also has several thousands other file types (.js, .sql, .html, etc.).Refactoring/renaming: Runs forever (>15 minutes) and sometimes terminates with an out of memory exception. I start Eclipse with 2048m as initial and maximum Java heap size. Using a local web server. Obviously it will be slower with a larger number of files but is this normal? Will it only process cfm and cfc files?Line debuggin

This is less a request for help and more a beware for the unexpected...I’m using CF11 and encountered a strange issue when trying to use UTC timestamps for comparison. It appears there is a hidden time zone indicator associated with CFs datetime object -- and I’m guessing it with the underlying Java datetime object. If all datetime comparisons happens during the request and no string conversion or database storage of the datetime objects happen, no issues. But if you convert a UTC converted datetime object to a string or store it in a database for a future comparison, you will receive some unexpected result as the comparison seems to take into account the hidden time zone and this field is not preserved when converted to a string or retrieved from a database. Hello, all,I am just fiddling around, a bit, trying to learn something new:  setting up and using an MS Access db in CF10.  Simple, right?No.. not really.  But I didn't start this thread to give you the details and minutiae regarding getting it to work.  It works.The issue I'm having is that I wrote a simple query to fetch data from the FIRST table I created (Games) and am retrieving six columns of data.I'm running a query, using CFDUMP to display it.I went into the Access database and added three rows of info.  When I refresh the page, the CFDUMP shows only the first three rows.I deleted those three rows from the Access db, refreshed the page, and still see those three rows of data - nothing else.  Not the new rows I entered.  Nothing changes.Not sure what to do next.  Please help?V/r,^_^

Hi,I am in the process of translating a CF application to PHP.I have a question about queries, please tell me if I'm right:If I understand well, the major difference  between CF queries and PHP queries is that in CF, the whole set of records is fetched and an array is generated containing all data in one shot. On the other hand in PHP, only one row is returned and one has to fetch rows one by one so it takes very less memory at a time.Is this right ?My application uses only rather small queries and the use of memory has never been a problem in the CF version, so I intend to emulate the way CF works in PHP to simplify the work of translation.Any comment ?

I am currently converting/upgrading a CF9.0.2 application (Windows 2008R2/IIS 7, SQL Server 2008R2) environment to an internal company Share Hosting Environment that is CF11.  My CF9 environment is very basic; it began in 2000 in CF 4.5 and new development was done in the newest version that was available - so nothing has been rewritten to the latest version.Our SHE sets up the DATASOURCE for us - but we need to set the datasource, username and password into a passwords.cfm module in a restricted directory and therefore pass those parameters to each and every query.  I cannot put this information an application.cfm or application.cfc.I now have to bring my CF9 code to the SHE requirements, and one of the first I need to tackle is updating my CFGRIDS to HTML.  I know the arguments of CFGRID - I don't need to be lectured about them please.  All of the grids have sorts and 90% are selectmode=row (I have spent to much time trying to convert them to regular tables).&nbsp

Hello all,I'm hoping someone can help me with a problem I'm having.  I know some of the problems I'm having are due to poor application design, but this was all stuff done before I started working on the application and changing it is not likely any time soon.  That said... we are currently running ColdFusion 9 on a fairly large application.  We never upgraded to 10 because of a problem with being able to set the isolation level on datasource connections to the database.  Since CF 2016 released recently, I decided to play with this some again.  We are running an informix database and so have their jdbc drivers, and I have them added to the class path.  All of that works fine.I can add the datasource directly in the coldfusion administrator, and it works, accept for the isolation level.  The way the application was designed and written it requires the default isolation level to be set to dirty read (read uncommitted) on some of the datasources.  I

Pretty straight forward here, I have defined this.customTagPaths to include two directories. Within both of those directories I have a script, lets say test.cfm, with different contents. For discussion lets say one writes out "You found tag 1", the other writes "You found tag 2".I then call <cf_test>, and the result is the same no matter what I do to the order of directories listed in this.customTagPaths. My application has a this.name, and I've tried changing it at the same time I change this.customTagPaths. I've tried renaming the tag directories to see if possibly it was sorted by name. I cannot find a reliable way to predict which tag will execute.Using <cfmodule> is not an option at this point.Currently testing in Windows, CF11.
