Reports that we created that contain Charts, using Windows Vista to author, stop working and error "resource unreadable" when we open and save the report using Win 8.1 64bit. Everything else in the reports will work fine, but the charts become corrupted and unrecoverable. Is there a patch or newer version of CFReportBuilder to fix this? I tried the CFReportBuilder version available with CF11 and get the same results...Thanks in advance for any advice!Marshall.
I have a page performing a web service using SOAP (sorry if my terminology is redundant). Everything works great until I attempt to return a SOAP fault response with a http status code. If I return the SOAP xml document indicating the fault, works great. So I've been using a new language (Coldfusion), and using a search brings up quite a few topics and answers to some of the questions that I have.However, there is one that's typically at the topic of the search list which bugs the heck out of me. And that's livedocs.adobe.com. Every time I think "oh, useful information", I get Adobe - Site Area Temporarily Unavailable.Contact Us doesn't work because they want info on products, not on their own website, or at least I haven't found a good form that I can use to ask about why livedocs is down, or why its so high up on a search list.Could someone point me in the right direction on how to contact those in charge of livedocs to find out why? Or maybe why livedocs is down?(I'm seeing through community searches that some links and others don't, maybe they need to contact google/bing to remove those links from the top of the search?)Thanks for your help.

I was playing around with different ways to set cookies and in the process I use the cfcookie tag wrong. It threw an error and the onError() sort of did its job. Rather than giving a nice clean error like normal, the page completely quit processing. So I played around some more and tried this with out an onError() in the application.cfc. <cftry> <cfset asdf = /> <cfcatch type="any"> <cfdump var="#cfcatch#"> </cfcatch></cftry>It threw the error as if the try/catch wasn't there. Is this normal and it has taken me years to notice it?Phil
its late and my brain has gone to mush. I recently installed CF 11 enterprise on my laptop, win7 / IIS 7.5 with no issues during install. My problem is that when i tried running one of our CF10 apps it started blowing up and I noticed that once again CFID and CFtoken were being added to the url. In a previous post i mentioned that adding "add token = no" to cflocation tags cleared up the conversion from 9 - 10 CFId issue.So now in 11 its back, setting add token = no causes errors because i do not have secure profile set on my install because is a development instance. I have been going through the administrator settings to try and turn this off I can't find anything.Is the only way to not get CFID and CFToken added the url is by setting secure profile?also CF11 makes it the first two key /value pairs after the ? instead of adding to the end of the url.I can't include code or errors at the moment 'cause i'm home can't vpn into
We are looking at an upgrade to am existing server that is running CF8 at the moment on Windows Server 2008 R2.If we upgrade windows server 2012 will CF8 run/install?

First off, let me apologize for the cryptic title, but I wasn't sure what to call this thread.I'm pulling a list of users from a web service that I'm integrating into an application that I'm modernizing. Previous versions of this app stored users in a table, whereas now they're being pulled from a web service. Certain users are assigned certain tasks, so I have a table in the database that matches user IDs with task IDs.Right now, I've pulled the user data from the web service into a new query, using QueryNew() and its siblings. But now that I have my hands on that data, I've realized that I can't use it.In the past, I've done inner joins do things like list users with their tasks, assign tasks, etc. I've done this using JOINS in my queries. But now I can't figure out how I'm going to duplicate this using external data.One idea I have is to do an INSERT into a users table in the database as soon as the application is loaded into a browser. We have a pdf that is filled out by ColdFusion using <cfpdfform>. A field in the pdf was named incorrectly so there are 2 fields named the same thing (let's say "field1"). As the system has populated (many) copies of the pdf the same value has gone into both fields named "field1" when really two different values should have gone into a "field1" and "field2".I need to get the information correctly entered into "field2" so I had two ideas...I researched was renaming the field in all the pdfs using ColdFusion (so I could repopulate the new field) but that does not appear to be possible. But to confirm... Can you rename a field in a pdf using ColdFusion?If I couldn't rename it I just wanted to change what was in the second occurrence of "field1". I tried using the index attribute of <cfpdfformparam> but that only applies to forms created in LiveCycle. We have a program that was wrote by a programmer whom is no longer with us. When I go to log in to the program for the first time, after I put in my username and password and hit sign in I receive a "404 - File or directory not found error." All I do is hit the back button and login again and it logs me in just fine. I noticed when the error appears I'm getting a CFID and CFTOKEN added to the end of the URL. When I'm able to login successfully it just takes me straight to index.cfmCan anyone tell me why its doing this and how to fix it? Its just annoying to have to login twice everytime. Thanks
I am unable to edit properly French accents (in templates coming from Dreamweaver) with CF Builder. I cant write HTML entities, but may be somebody has a better solution ?

When attempting to archive a log file programmatically using the archiveLogFile() method of servermanager is there a way to test the success/failure of the action. I have an external login service that I'm using to authenticate users. After logging in, I get an XML file from which I can pull things like user ID and rights.The login page redirects to an index page in another folder (which is protected by the authentication service) and on that page, I have a <cfif> statement that looks at rights.The rights returned are "J" (for judge) and "A" (for admin), which I'm setting as the session variable: session.rightsIf I do this: <cfif session.rights eq "A"> admin section <cfelseif session.rights eq "J"> judge section <cfelse> redirect to the login page </cfif> The else is what triggers. If I cfoutput #session.rights# I get J, but for some reason, J does not equal J. I've tried trimming it and everything, to no avail.Any ideas?

Our company has an application that use cfcompile -deploy targeting certain cfml file. Before update to CF 11 everything run fine.
