Install CF10 on Windows 8.1

Just transitioned to a new PC with W8.1  Developer/Trial version of CF10 downloaded, but Windows says it cannot be installed.

I don't think the installers have been updated for Windows 8.1.  The latest Windows installer was updated for Windows 8.  See if you can install using Compatibility mode.

You can launch command prompt as administrator. Navigate to the installer directory and run the "ColdFusion 10 win64.exe" (installer name) the command.
