I got above message box when I configure my ColdFusion server using web server configuration tool.

It seems that my web server confuguration tool does not recognize my IIS web server.

Can you please advise do I need to enable any functions from my IIS to make sure Web Configure Tool recognizes my IIS?

Your help and information is great appreciated,

I use Windows 7 and IIS 7.

Regards,

iccsi,

    Thanks for the message,

Can I install 9.01 on top of 9.0 or I have uninstall 9.0 and re install 9.01?

or 9.01 just an update version of 9.0?

Thanks a again for the informaiton and helping,

    Regards,

    iccsi

9.0.1 is an updater for 9.0.  9.0.2 is a repackaged release with the cumulative updates and security hotfixes already integrated (with the exception of one or two security hotfixes released later) and Verity removed.  If you are going to install 9.0.2, I'd remove 9.0 first.  9.0.1 would be installed on top of 9.0.0.

I imagine what you mean is you get that screen (it's not "a message box", it's the UI of wsconfig), before you configure your web server to connect to your CF server.  That "Configured Web Servers" list lists the web servers that are currently configured to talk to ColdFusion.  If it's you're first time in there, there's nothing to list. I agree it's a bit unpolished and could say "no web servers configured yet" like a professionally-designed UI might, but your screen cap shows exactly what's expected here.

Speaking of expectations: did you read the docs so as to know what to expect?

(they're not great, and have no screenshots, but those are the relevant docs).

It seems that ColdFusion is looing for IIS 6, but I use IIS 7.5.

Please let me know if I am wrong,

Have you installed the 9.01 updater yet?  That added support for IIS 7/7.5.  Otherwise, in Windows, you'll need to make sure that IIS Metabase Compatibility feature is installed.

A better suggestion, if you are installing CF9 for the first time on this computer, is to download and install CF 9.02 which is fully IIS 7/7.5 compatible.
