Installing CF 8 on mac os x

Hi, I have recently purchased an imac and did an OS update before installing Coldfusion 8, the installer will not run as it complains that the java install is not a 64-bit version of Java. I have search the net and have found one solution but this hasnt worked for me...
Does anyone know if Adobe has brought out an offical fix to this problem?
