Installing CF* req on Ubuntu8.10 64bit

Having a problem trying to install on a 64 bit machine.  The install worked fine on a 32bit version, but for numerours resasons I need this running on a 64bit OS.

I saw a few 'fixes' that required a few code changes, but all those were for CF7 and I am wondering before I break things, let me consult the forum.  So with that, the following is what I am getting;

sudo ./Coldfusion-8-lin.bin

Launching installer...

exec: 2481: /tmp/install.dir.13673/Linux/resource/jre/bin/java: not found

So not sure what 'java' packages I need installed, so any advice is apprecaited.
