Installing MX 6.1 on Windows Server 2003

I was trying to install mx 6.1 on a windows 2003 server. However the installer does not start properly. Does anyone have the same problem or an advice how to solve this ?

Trying to install with the jar file works better, but the installer say there's already running an coldfusion server. But this can't be, it's fresh windows installation at all ? Do I have to upgrade to MX 7.x

Any ideas

There are many known issues involving problems with windows 2003. They
all revolve around 2003's tightened security not allowing normal
installation. Google up adobe tech-notes and you will get a lot of help.
