Is Coldfusion MX 7 compatible with MS SQL Server 2016?

Hello,

In our existing setting, Coldfusion MX 7 is connected with MS SQL Server 2008. We will migrate our SQL server to MS SQL 2016. Is Coldfusion MX 7 compatible with MS SQL Server 2016? Thank you.

    Technically no. The only version that supports SQL 2016 is CF 2016 but that doesn't mean it wont work.

    The fact that you have MX 7 though means there is a lot less chance it will work. We use CF11 on 2016 with no problems for what we need, but CF11 is years ahead of MX 7.

    I would recommend upgrading MX7 anyway. GIve the connection a try and see if it works.
