Issue with Apache on CF 2021 and Mac w/ Monterey OS

Having an issue with CF2021 working on Apache web server with Mac w/ Monterey OS

I can use the connector to configure CF with Apache but when starting apache I get this error "No code signing authority for module at /private/etc/apache2/mod_jk.so specified in LoadModule directive" and apache fails to load.

This issue is cited in "https://helpx.adobe.com/coldfusion/kb/coldfusion2021update2.html"

I made a signing certficate and signed mod_jk.so so that this error does not show and apache loads fine but still does not work with CF.

Is CF2021 not compatible with Apache on MAC or is there a work around?

The Adobe ColdFusion Team indeed mentions this as a known issue in the release of CF2021 Update 2. So I would imagine that they have a hot-fix for it. You should request it from ColdFusion Support: cfsup[at]adobe.com

I believe its been an issue since Mac OS BigSur. Would seem practical that Adoeb would address the issue of having CF work on a default install of Mac with its default webserver.

I did contact Adobe but they won't answer any questions unless there is a service contract setup hence this message in the forum.

This is probably a pretty low priority for Adobe. Nobody hosts production sites on Mac OS. Developers use it, but it's not going to be identical to any production setup. You might want to consider developing for CF using an environment that is closer to production. This doesn't necessarily mean abandoning Mac OS, but it would mean using some sort of virtualization or containers on it.
