I have WebSphere 5.1.1.10 running CFMX 7.02 and have created datasources within Websphere to access Oracle 9i database. The datasource works within WebSphere but does not appears in ColdFusion. I have attempted to create a J2EE datasource within CF adminiatrator, but I get a message saying the datasource doesn't exisit.

The WebSphere datasource does not appear in the coldfusion admin page, so I can't verify that it work. In CFMX 6.1 the WebSphere datasource would appear and I could verify it, but I couldn't edit it. I have not attempted to use it in a query, because I was planning to use it for session management. I will test it with a query. Thanks for the help.

So, are you saying that your datasource will not verify from ColdFusion Administrator, or that you get an error message when you attempt to use it from within a CFQUERY in your ColdFusion template?
