lead generation

Hi,
Please help.
I am creating a site that generated leads. and im stuck on the sending of the leads

A broker registers and sets up a limit of how many leads they will recive i.e 1 per day or 3 per week.

WHen a lead is generated it will select a broker from the database based on postcode and check if the qouter is correct.

If a simalar lead is generated it will not pick the first broker as that one has already recived one it will go on to the next that has the maatching criteria.

Any ideas on how this can be acheived

Thanks
Carly

So you don't think the date of their last lead is important?
Or the postcode it was in?

You keep saying you want to send the lead to the next broker if the first one already has one. How are you determining who is first and who is next?

It sounds like you want to define the broker who gets the next lead based on the postcode and various other things. This comes under the category of business rules.

Personally, I wouldn't write a line of code anywhere until I knew what the business rules were. Then I would design the database to co-incide with those rules. The cold fusion part comes last.

I have set all of that up.

The database fields are as follows

Broker ID

broker name

brokercontact name

address

tel

Username

password

postcode areas (this may have more than 1 i.e cm,rm,en)

number of leads per week

number of leads per day

The lead will then need to select a broker based on postcode area. It will then check that number of leads per week has not been exceeded and the number per day has not been exceeded and then send the lead.

I dont want it to jsut pick the a same broker. I the first broker has recived the last lead it will move on the next one with the matching criteria

I presume you have your brokers info in a database. If so, create a field that contains the lead ID or some other lead data that shows that the broker has a particular lead.
