License error

On an operational coldfusion 8.0.1 server we installed a new coldfusion application. It isn't working and I found this error

coldfusion.license.licenseserviceimpl$unabletostorelicenseexception: Unable to store the license data in the license properties file

Any ideas?

What do you mean by "new coldfusion applicaiton"?

Did you try and install a second ColdFusion Application Server to run concerently with the ColdFusion 8.0.1 application server already running?

OR

Do you mean you just installed a new CFML application to the server running a ColdFusion 8.0.1 application server?
