Question

Local Server Stops functioning

This has happened twice now and the only solution that has worked is to uninstall CF server, uninstall IIS and reinstall in proper order. I am running win XP SP2 with CF 7. When I browse the local host I get the default windows web page saying to put files in the wwwroot folder. When I run the administrator I get "Do you want to open or save this file?" index.cfm.

Any clues or questions to help troubleshoot?

Thanks,
Chris

Can anyone tell me what to change in Symantec Internet security that will allow the CF server to be accessed and run from w/in DW and the browser? I have tried everything that I know o - and that isn't much when it comes to NIS.

In order for me to view datasources in DW, or even simply browse a CF site on my local machine - I MUST DISABLE NIS. This is ridiculous.

    Please Help!

Update - I just went through the process that usually works - but it has failed this time. CF still doesn't run. However I do have the error from the call log if this helps anyone ....

    Web Server Connector Configuration Error
    Status: ERROR
Additional Notes: ERROR - JNDI port 2920 for server coldfusion is not active

What is a JNDI port and how do I open it up?

    Thanks,
    Chris
