Missing CFIDE folder

We recently upgraded to CF 8 and during an uninstall of CF 7 the CFIDE folder was deleted. Apps are running fine for the most part (some CF Form issues), but we can not access the admin.

Can I simply copy the CFIDE folder from another instal, or do I need to re-instal CF?

Thanks,

I think copying the folder from another installation (exactly the same
    CF version though) will work.

Yes this does work, if you have one hand go for it, otherwise a quick
and free developer installation of the necessary version can provide you
    with the desired CFIDE folder.

This is the one big known danger to upgrading CF7 to CF8. The cf7
uninstaller is a bit greedy and grabs all the CFIDE folders.
