Hi,
if I would want to test and start up a cf pages at my home PC
( practice)
What do I have to do/have?

1. download CF from this website its a large one around 320mb.
2. Turn off any antivirus and firewalls
3. start the install and accept the defaults, you don't need IIS yet.
4. follow the tutorial included with the software.
5. keep an eye on these forums for help.

You don't need IIS to play with CF, CF has its own light weight webserver built in. Downlaod the trial 30 day CF7 install and away you go.

Assuming you have a Windows box at home, you need a Web server (IIS, etc.) and a developer copy of ColdFusion. Install the Web server first, then CF. For your purposes, accept all defaults offered during the CF install.
