null null error in CF Admin Verity page

About a week ago, I started noticing "null null" errors every time I try to access the Verity collections page in CF Admin. After researching and not finding anything specific to this issue, I did determine which files in the CF install path hold the Verity collection information. I've modified that file (%cf_root%\verity\Data\host\admin\admin{x}.xml (in my case, it was admin1.xml)) to remove all traces of the collections I had registered and I've also moved the collection folders themselves completely out of the directory designated to house them. After restarting all CF services, I still receive the following error:

Location: 10.81.40.96
Browser: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1; SBC; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; ATT; ATT)
Date/Time: 03/31/2008 at 7:50:25 AM CT
Page Error Occurred On: http://{intranet_vurl_removed}/cfide/administrator/verity/index.cfm
Referring Page: http://{intranet_vurl_removed}/cfide/administrator/navserver.cfm

Error Message: null null
The error occurred on line 227.

I can't produce any other details on the error because the exception log doesn't seem to capture anything. I desperately need to restore all of the Verity collections that were running without issue... any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Environment:
Win Server 2003, CFMX v7,0,2,142559, JRE v1.5.0_11

UPDATE 1:
I've tried running the batch files in %cf_root%\verity (verity-uninstall.bat and verity-install.bat) and those didn't work either, still getting "null null" (same error) when accessing the Verity page in CF admin. I did restart the CF app service after the Verity reinstall.

I'd recommend backing down to JDK 1.4.2_16 or earlier. Java 1.5 isn't supported for CF7.
