Please help - Standard license got converted to Developer edition

Hi,

I have been asked to move CF applicaion from one data center to another data center with ColdFusion 8. I have installed Coldfusion 8 enterprise (trial) for users to verify the site on new data center. Now we are ready to apply ColdFusion 8 standard license to the new environment.

The old environment still works with CF 8 standard license without any problem. But applying the same license to the new environment, it got converted to developer edition from enterprise (trial) edition on new environment.

Please help ? How can I make it to work as Standard edition, instead of developer edition ?

Thanks,

Susan

I think it will depend on how you installed the trial.  If you did the single server install, you should be able to go into the ColdFusion Administrator and enter the serial number in the System Information page.  If you did a multi-server install, you can only run that with an Enterprise license.  You'll have to remove ColdFusion and reinstall using single server mode.

Thanks Carl for your reply. I did make sure I have installed using single server mode with 30 days trial. And on CF admin page, I was able to enter serial number in the system information page. But unfortunately it changed enterprise (trial) to Developer edition, instead of Standard.
