Hi, I am new to coldfusion, I have a problem with RDS service. I install coldfusion 8 standalone on my server. enable RDS and set RDS password during install coldfusion. Then I install eclipse3.3 + flex builder 3 plus on my computer, coldfusion extension is also installed with flex builder 3 plus. then I input RDS settings in RDS configuration in eclipse preferences panel and press Test connection button, eclipse becomes no response. I wait for a long time but nothing happen. I did this for several times and every time it's the same. I think maybe the RDS service is not working well, but I have no idea about how to test and solve it. Can anybody help me?

My server is running windows 2003 server and my computer is running windows XP.

Hi,

Have you installed the latest "cf_fb_extenstions" through "Help > Software Updates > Find and Install" menu?...

If not download one and do so..

additional, I test connection by using Dreamweaver 8 with cf8 tags for dw, it works well, I think it is not RDS configuration problem, but I still cannot connect RDS in eclipse.

Hi,

Navigate to,

Window > Preferences > ColdFusion > RDS Configuration.

and make sure that your hostname and port number are valid, and then check your "Context root" entry (it should be "cfusion").

and then hit the "Test connection" button and see what happens.
