Reset RDS login in CF 11 for use with Dreamweaver

I have CF 11 installed on the computer I'm currently working on while out of town. Yes, I know it's an older vsion, but that's what I have here. I also have Dreamweaver CS6 installed.  I am NOT able to connect to RDS through the Databases tab in Dreamweaver.  I also can't remember what the original password was to reset it, and I've tried doing this in CF Administrator in the Security area.  I've also tried doing it through a command prompt, and it works, until I get to re-entering the password, after running passwordreset.bat.  Then I can't type anything in, and have to close the command prompt window.  Is there any other way that I can reset the password, without actually knowing the original RDS password?  Thank you for your help in advance.  So frustrating!

Well, that is definitely an older version and you should upgrade to something currently supported by Adobe, etc, etc.

That said, you should be able to disable the CF Administrator password entirely, then go into CF Administrator and reenable the password, and reset the RDS password if you're using separate accounts in CF (it's been a while so I don't remember the exact details of how this works). To disable the password, edit neo-security.xml and set admin.security.disabled="true" (again, if I recall correctly), restart CF, and you should be good to go. If these settings I specified aren't the right ones, you should at least be able to see the right ones when you edit neo-security.xml. Good luck!

Oh, and you do have the ability to install the developer version of CF on your computer as long as it's not running a production web server. That way, it'll match whatever you do have in production and the upgrade won't cost anything but your time. This is dependent on your ability to install software on your computer, though. If you don't have permissions, just disregard this message.

Thanks, Dave.  I do have the developer edition installed, and I have set this to false:

    <var name='admin.security.enabled'><boolean value='false'/></var>

However, when I go back into CF Admin, it resets this back to true.
