REST Error: Entity input stream has already been closed

I receive the error: "Entity input stream has already been closed" when accessing my REST web service performing a GET operation.  Any insight to this problem would be much appreciated.

    DOJO Toolkit REST client was configured for a default content type of application/x-www-form-urlencoded.  Once this was overriden the problem was corrected.
