Setting up testing server

Should know this, but after being out of CF for some time it's gone from the grey matter.

Just installed CF9 Developer under Win 7 x64 (c:\ColdFusion9). Also running xampp (c:\xaampp), and CS5 Web Premium. Can't get the testing server set up properly. Should I be using the built-in CF server, or Apache in xampp? I initially installed using the CF server, but can redo if Apache is suggested.

Detailed setup would be most appreciated!
