SOLR cfsearch for CUSTOM2 integer value

Our SOLR database has records to delete that are best accessed by the CUSTOM2 field.  That field's been renamed to CUSTOM2_I and contains integer values.

<cfsearch ...criteria = "custom2_i=32863"> doesn't filter any rows out.

I'm hoping there's a syntax that will work.
