Hi,

Running Cold Fusion 11, 32 bit environment, SQL Server 2008.

The SQL Server port 1433 has a cert installed due to the data.

When accessing the SQL database from the Cold Fusion application, receiving the message:

The SQL Server login requires an SSL connection.

Prior to the cert install, could access the database.

Is there anything in the Cold Fusion administrator that can be set?

If not, what would be the specific instructions?

Is there a specific version of Java that should be installed?

Thanks for your help,

Mike

Ensure you have the newest service-pack installed for SQL Server 2008, also.  I ran into this same trouble -- it was because we weren't using SSL, we were using TLS for encryption -- but SQL Server wouldn't support TLS 1.2 without an update.  TLS 1.2 is the only encryption that you want to use these days -- everything else is vulnerable to various attacks.  If your goal is to be PCI-compliant, you *must* use TLS 1.2.

    Hope this helps.
