Standard or Enterprise Version

I am putting together a proposal at work to start using ColdFusion and I want to confirm that the Standard Edition will suffice. I know the company will not want to purchase the Enterprise Edition and I don't think that it is needed but want to make sure.

We are going to have one apache server for the Website and have one W2K3 server for ColdFusion. The Apache server will send ColdFusion requests to the ColdFusion server. (Makes sense. 🙂 )

Is there any reason we would need the Enterprise Edition?

Thank you for any input.

Bob

The standard version works for us well here (at a bank). We had enterprise back under v4.5 but dropped down to standard when we upgraded to MX.

The one thing I predict we'll eventually miss (maybe) is the Gateway technology. And we've got a ways to go yet before anyone here starts talking seriously about clustering, as well.

Thanks for the reply pcbrown. That is what I wanted to hear. I don't think we will be needing clustering from some time.

It looks like Standard should server our purpose nicely.
