Unable to HotFix via System Information page.

The CF 8.0.1, Win2003, IIS6.

When I try to apply hotfix via the System Information page as instructed I get the following Java errors when I click the browse button.

What kills me is that we never had a .../allaire/cfide/CFNavigationApplet.class directory or file before.  This is a 3 month old install.

RDS is out of the question due to our security mandate.

Java Plug-in 1.6.0_16

If you put the .jar file in your ColdFusion8\lib\updates and restart CF it should do exactly what the upload button would do in CFAdmin.  If you see the .jar file on your classpath on the system information page you know it's been applied.

But to be clear I'm just another user and not from Adobe so take this with a grain of salt.  I've applied a number of patches this way and never had any problems with it.

Do not have a /lib/updates directory.

If it makes a difference this is a Multi-Server Installation, thus it is Jrun4 extensive.

This may be the key to the problems or may be that the patches in question do not apply but I need something that says so or they will continue to pester me about patching it.

In a multiserver instance it's likely located here:

    C:/CF8Multi/servers/<instance name>/cfusion-ear/cfusion-war/WEB-INF/cfusion/lib/updates
