Question

uninstalling old CF7 on localhost dev machine

I just upgraded to CF9 for my developer edition on my local development machine and copied the wwwroot contents from the old ColdFusion 7 wwwroot to the new one under CF9 (and moved over my cfx files, etc.).  But when I go to Windows Control Panel to Add or Remove Programs, CF7 is no longer there, even though it seems to have a ton of directories and files still in place on the drive.  Can simply deleting the CFusionMX7 directory and all of its content result in a clean uninstall of CF7 at this point, or do I have to screw with the registry, etc.?

If you are lucky, but you probably have a 4 in 5 chance of being that lucky.  Usually, when all goes as it is supposed to go, you just delete the directories as the final step.  But on that 1 in 5 chance that something did not go correctly, you may have to do some manual registry cleanup.
