Hi, I am new to ColdFusion integrated with Dreamweaver...
I have downloaded a trial version of ColdFusion and installed on my local drive c:
Now , I have opened Dreamweaver and created a page called myPage.cfm in 'C:\Documents and Settings\x\Os meus documentos\newCF\'.
Now, using the database window in dreamweaver, I want to create a site for the file and configure the built-in server to access the page locally using ' http://localhost:8500/'
but the wizzard reports an error when I test the URL.

I can't complete the wizzard without getting errors of definition.

Can somebody help me with the fundamentals?

Thanks

Rui

Do you have a web server up and running? (IIS, Apache, ect). Do you
have at least a default web site running in this web server. Have you
configured CF to know which web server and where the web site web root
is? Have you published your file to this web root or the CF web root?
C:\Documents and Settings\x\Os meus documentos\newCF\ would be rather
unusual web root.

Yes, I can bring the CF administrator screen. It asked me for a password, the one I entered during the install of CF.
No I have created a mdb database and in the administrator screen I registered the data source.

I am using the built-in CF web server.
I was trying to create a directory for a testing web page ( just to get me started...) in my computer, tipically in the "myDocuments" folder and then upload it to the CFweb server.

Now I am reading the CF documentation in the adobe site, using the samples they provide.
I guess it will be a long way to learn but I will do it

Thanks
