Question

Version/Build number hasn't incremented after updates

Hi,

I've deployed another ColdFusion 10 RHEL6 server and due to some firewall issues it isn't able to connect to the update center to grab the hotfixes.

So I copied the jar files from another server that I was able to update successfully and ran all the updates manually.

Now when I log into the CF administrator the build/version number has not gone up to what I expect. Does anyone have any ideas?

The installation log had one nonFatalError, but I got the same on the existing server

Installation: Successful with errors.

107 Successes

0 Warnings

1 NonFatalErrors

0 FatalErrors

Existing server with no issues

Regarding the nonFatalError, I have had that happen too on RHEL 6. I spoke with adobe engineering about it and they are aware of the issue, it is nothing you need to worry about.

CF10 mandatory update is the patch that should change the CF version to 10,282913, not updater1 or updater2.

Have you installed CF10 mandatory update JAR?

Note I have not done CF on anything other than Windows for a long time - case R-Linux with CF10 differs to above findings.

    Hi Carl,

Sorry I should have been more clear.

On the new server I installed hotfix 1, hotfix 2 and the mandatory update.

So was expecting at the end the version number to be 10,282913

    Cheers,

    Simon

    @raZorTTZ,

The version number issue has been raised with Adobe (most notably by Adam Cameron, see the comments for another post on this forum: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4671031#4671031).  He also discusees it at length on this blog entry: http://adamcameroncoldfusion.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/which-version-of-c oldfusion-am-i.html and this one: http://adamcameroncoldfusion.blogspot.com/2012/09/which-version-of-col dfusion-am-i_5.html.
