hi,

We are using CFMX 6.1 and at times we face strange issue. Applications start throwing Internal Server Error - 500 and on re-starting Coldfusion application server they work fine. On analyzing server logs below details were found:

Application Log:
"Error","jrpp-2132352","10/27/08","18:35:32","CCMS","Could not find the included template err_msg_db_rep.cfm.Note: If you wish to use an absolute template path (e.g. TEMPLATE=""/mypath/index.cfm"") with CFINCLUDE then you must create a mapping for the path using the ColdFusion Administrator. Using relative paths (e.g. TEMPLATE=""index.cfm"" or TEMPLATE=""../index.cfm"") does not require the creation of any special mappings. It is therefore recommended that you use relative paths with CFINCLUDE whenever possible. I believe I am experiencing a similar issue. Things will be working fine and then occasionally an included file cannot be found.

Once the issue occurs the included file will continue to be "missing" until a restart of the Cold Fusion Application service fixes the problem.

Editing the "missing" file also resolves the issue without restarting the service.

This leads me to believe cache or class files get munched and touching the mod date on the file somehow makes CF look for it again.

Using CFMX7 w/ IIS6. Also saw this on CFMX6, but less frequent.

    Anyone figure this one out?

    Any suggestions if not?

    Thanks.
