Web Server not Connected

I just installed Coldfusion after reading quite a bit on how to install it properly and yet I still did not get it installed properly. I am running OS X 10.4. I am also running Apache. Somehow, Coldfusion is not connected to my server. I am not trying to use my Apache server because it is not configured properly. I am trying to use the server that came with Colfusion located in the wwwroot directory. When I launch coldfusion I get a window that has three buttons; start and stop coldfusion and Webserver Connector Utility. It I launches the Webserver connect utility. Here in lies the problem. My only choice of servers is my Apache server and when I tell it what directory sites can be found in it tells me that it is not a valid directory for Apache. I have double checked my syntax.

At this point my head is spinning from trying to figure out what the problem is. I have done some forum searches but apparently I'm not searching for the right information. Please help!

Thanks in advance.

When you install CF originally, what did you select when asked about Web server configuration? I assume you selected built-in, right?
