What's happened to the Certification Exam?

I just sat (and passed) the CF7 exam on monday.

I hadn't looked at the certification section of www.adobe.com for a while, and now it's all changed.
There's barely any mention of the CF7 exam in the whole site, the list of certified deveoplers has gone and I don't even know what to call myself now - am I ACE, ACP or something else?

I tried registering with the certified community section, but it says I don't exist.

Can someone at Adobe please explain what's going on? I've put a lot of time and money into the exam, which I don't want wasted.

Actually the proper name for the program is "Adobe Certified Expert" (ACE)

And for those of you wondering whether or not Adobe is going to abandon CF, I wouldn't. Alot of people thought the same thing when Macromedia bought Allaire. Trust me, Adobe is going forward with CF and CF8 is already in the works!

That's odd - the logos say "Adobe Certified professional" and so did the covering letter with the certs

    Adobe need to clarify this...

    Good news,

Finally I received my cert kit today. I mailed my problem to 'mmcp@macromedia.com' and someone swiftly responded and re-sent my kit on the same day.
From the history I saw that they mailed my kit one month after my exam. But somehow, I didn't receive it. That's the reason for all confusions.
Anyhow, it's glad to know that Adobe is acting...

Anyone who have similar problems, Pl. mail to 'mmcp@macromedia.com'.

    Hi Rajas,

I got 92% in the exam. For some reason they sent 2 actual paper certificates - 1 for developer and 1 for advanced developer

    Congratulations, Gareth!

They sent you 2 because your score was 80% or more, which gives you the qualification of an Advanced ColdFusion Developer. You are the man!

Man - I was going to go down the path of getting CF certified until Adobe bought out Macromedia. My whole world changed!!! I loved Macromedia, even though at the end, they started changing with all the acquisitions they were involved in. But Adobe? As an Adobe customer, I've got nothing but a bad attitude from their support, which I have to pay for in order to get now.

It's a shame. Does anyone know what Adobe's plans are with ColdFusion? We've developed 5 CF sites in the last yr, and I'm not intending to do any more if Adobe is going to treat CF like a step child. We're having some issues with one of the more technical CF sites, but most of that is just the ignorance of the developer (me)!

Let me know if anyone has any info on Adobe's intentions with CF. I can't seem to get any info in my searching.

    Thanks,

    Bobby

call yourself a certified coldfusion developer, thats all you need.

How do you figure it will be wasted - you passed right?

I suppose it would mean more to a prospective employer if you can point them to the website, so they know what the exam is about.
Having your name on the list of certified developers was also good (although I did hear that they often spelled names wrong )
It's hard to explain that this is a recognised Adobe qualification, when Adobe don't acknowledge it on their own site
