Question

Why I am getting this error/exception- Additional Info: org.apache.poi.hssf.util.Region

It worked previously with the older version (Adobe ColdFusion 2018.0.02), but when I updated to the newer version (Adobe ColdFusion 2018.0.02 2018.0.18), it gave me the error mentioned above. Is there any issue related to the Apache POI JAR file? Because when I used the older version of ColdFusion, the JAR file I used was 'poi-3.17.jar,' and I am still using it with the updated version. Can anyone help me with this issue?

Can you please clarify if this was in fact an update of one cf instance from that 2018.0.02 to 2018.0.18? Or was the "old" one a different machine?

If the same machine, look to the update log in your [cf]/[instancename]/hf-updates folder for update 18, and the update log (having a long name). In that file, look for the count of fatalerrors and nonfatalerrors. They should both be 0. If not, there was an error in applying the update. Try it again.

If they are on different machines, did you put that jar in the [cf]/[instancename]/lib folder? And are you sure there was not already another poi*.jar there?

Look also at the cf admin settings summary page for its class path display, showing all the jars loaded from the various potential places cf looks. Any other poi jars there? Are they different from the old machine? Again, all this paragraph is for if your two cf's are on different machines.
