I have been doing this for years. Suddenly my profiles are gone in ACR. I make specific  profiles for my cameras with a Xrite Passport. When I save the profiles, they are not available in trhe dropdown. Where should they be saved to apear? I just get the Adobe defaults.

Hi

Mac or Windows?

this may help, I hope

https://www.colourmanagement.net/advice/where-are-my-icc-profiles/

Adobe has a specific folder here too on mac:

  • /User Library>Application Support>Adobe>CameraRaw>CameraProfiles
  •
  • Adobe stores the profiles it distributes for cameras in windows in folder: "C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles\Camera\xxxx"

Its worth doing a check on the profile name -  if you're on mac you can double click the profile in the finder, which will open the colorsync utility, next look in section 1 and check the listed name matches the external (filename) you gave the profile.  Applications generally list the "internal" profile name and this can cause coinfusion if you are looking for the filename?

If youre on Win I believe there are free tools to do this, possibly one from Chromix, a variant of colorthink.

I googled and found an old community thread about this too:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop/can-t-find-custom-camera-calibration-profiles-in-photoshop/td-p/9737963?page=1

I hope this helps

if so, please "like" my reply and if you're OK now, please mark it as "correct", so that others who have similar issues can see the solution

thanks
