Adobe Programs darken my files

Hello.

I have a problem with my adobe programs for a while now. All of them somehow darken my opened files and I don't know why. I did not touch the programs for a while and after I went back for the vacation and wanted to work on my files suddenly all programs changed there settings.

I have some image example with my Adobe Acrobat and one of them opened in Google Chrome. It Is the same document but the one opened in Acrobat is much darker color for no reason. It is like that in all programs Photoshop, Illustraitor and InDesign.

Is there anyone out there who would now what I did or can do to fix this problem? It is not really helpful when I want to work with colors.

I have to correct myself. After a Restart today the colors are finally back to normal in my adobe programs. Thank you so much ❤️

Actually all you need to do is relaunch the application, not restart the whole system. The monitor profile is loaded by the application when it starts up, and that profile is then used for the remainder of the session. If the profile is changed on system level, the application still uses the old profile until next relaunch.

I don't understand what these tiny fragments of a screen shot show?

Are you saying that

- when you open some Adobe programs (which?) that colours change immediately in OTHER apps at that time?

or

- when you save a file from one non-Adobe program (which?) then open it in another Adobe program (which?) that the colour is darker than you expect?

What exact monitor model do you have?

Please show the Color Management settings in the Adobe apps you mention.

The Screenshots show the difference in color between the same file opend in Adobe Programs (here it is Adobe Acrobat) and another PDF Reader (Google Chrome). You can see the Yellow color is darker in the first Screenshot which is from Adobe Acrobat. I have a image attached where you can see it more clearly the one on the left is opened in Photoshop the other one in the normal Windows image program, which is the original color of the photo. Photoshop displays it darker than it actually is.

When I open any file in my adobe programs the adobe programs make the file appear darker than it actually is. For example I download an image and open it in photoshop it appears darker altough the image itself is still the same and when I save it as PNG for example and upload it again, it is the normal color.

I made a Screenshot from my color settings in Acode Acrobat. The color settings in all other programs are exactly the same still I made Screenshots off all of them.

This is a common problem, and a common misunderstanding. "Color management" is a way that apps can ensure that colours are consistent with each other and - if set up right and viewed in good conditions on good hardware - "correct". Adobe apps have colour management. Most apps do NOT have colour management - such as Chrome and the Windows 10 photo viewer. In these apps, colour is a matter of chance and luck. But, like many other people, you have decided these other apps are "right" and the Adobe apps are "wrong". Turn it around: the other apps are wrong. You just prefer the color of the other apps, perhaps because you've adjusted your monitor to make them look nicer - also stopping the Adobe apps from looking right.

Sometimes, this can be made better, to trick the other apps into being more correct. Sometimes not. This is why I asked you a key question - what exact monitor (screen) model you have. Please answer that too.
