Colour in ebook is duller

Hi, Im creating an ebook from InDesign. I have RGB illustrations from an illustrator that I have put into the document specifically for the ebook to maintain the colours but they are still duller. The illustrator supplied a pdf for colour and the colours are brighter. What is the ebook doing to the colours?

When you export your Illustrator files. What settings are used? Those settings control the color appearance of the exported file so that is where the problem is. Compare the document settings for RGB working space and those in your export settings. eBooks are normally output at sRGB so I would makee sure your document settings are set there as well.

Hi, this could be due to a lack of colour management in the application program you're using to view the ebook.

How are you viewing the ebook, and are you using Mac or Windows?

May I ask what is the RGB colour profile for the files you are working on?

Thank you. They were supplied to me by the author who in turn got them from the illustrator. So they exported the files and supplied them to me. I put them into the InDesign document exactly as supplied. I'll check all the document settings.
