Comparing ICC profiles for different Printers/ Papers.

Greetings,

Is there a way to compare Gamut and Luminosity Coverage (3D models) for different Printer/ Paper combinations? The input data would be ICC profiles that I can download from Paper manufacturers such as Hahnemuhle or Ilford for specific printers such as the Epson SC P900 or the Canon Prograf Pro-521.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Regards,

RD

    Hi

I like the Colorthink (or Colorthink Pro) program from Chromix for this job - many colour guys call it the "Swiss Army Knife" of colour management

    I hope this helps

Thank you, Neil. I've decided to buy the software.

I'm looking to check which Fine Art paper would be best for each of my Digital Artworks, and it seems ColorThink Pro would be a good investment.

    Hi

If you are looking to compare profile gamuts and profile black points then ColorThink will do that for you, and so much more, I hope you enjoy your investment. Of course you are comparing paper capability via manufacturers profiles and in some cases with good control it may be feasible to extract more gamut and deeper blacks from profiles. But it’s a great place to start

On the Mac, you can use their free ColorSync utility although it's not as ideal as the not free ColorThink Pro fro Chromix. That's the ideal tool:
