Question

Could not complete the Assign Profile command because the file was not found

Adobe Photoshop CC 24.7.0

MacOS Ventura 13.5

I opened a PSD file and selected "Don't color manage this document", and I get the following error:

"Could not complete the Assign Profile command because the file was not found."

If I change it to any colour profile, I get the exact same error. No exceptions.

Photoshop no longer see's the ICC profile you have selected as default for your color settings.  Select a different one, or uninstall and reinstall Photoshop.

As stated above, selecting different profiles produces the same error. Even using no profile triggers the error.

The error remains if I reinstall Photoshop unless I delete my prefs. If I keep them, the error remains.

This is the second Adobe app has suffered from some bizarre prefs corruption today.

So if the error is corrected after you delete your pref's.  What is the problem you are asking about?
