Hello,

Im having an issue that Im not quite understanding, and hoping someone with more knowledge may be able to help. My PDF shows incorrect when viewing in DropBox (see image)

but when downloaded and opened in Adobe DC, it shows the way it is meant to be (see image)

Any idea why and how to fix this problem? I come from a print background, so web files are a bit foreign to me.

Thank you for any help given,

Kelly

Yes, I would do two versions. Live transparency is very unpredictable with browser rendering. A flattened sRGB PDF should view the same in any browser. Leave Overprint unchecked if you want to keep out-of-gamut colors for the browser version.

Browser PDF display is not necessarily accurate—browsers can have problems managing CMYK color, and correctly displaying transparency effects.

If the PDF is for screen display only, you can dumb down the PDF by exporting to flattened sRGB, and get the correct display. So from InDesign set your Export>Output tab to this. Don’t do this if you are sending the PDF out for print:

Check Simulate Overprint if you want RGB colors to be brought into the CMYK gamut

Thank you so much for the response!

Its actually for print and then will be for email/online viewing as well. The client doesn't like the brighter blue that shows in the first image. Do you suggest making 2 verisons, and by not checking simulate overprint it will avoid the brighter blue?
