Problem with color between LR and PS

Question

I am having a new problem, which is that when I open a file from LR (desktop version) to edit it in PS (right click - edit in Adobe Photoshop CC 2018) it appears red and overly saturated in PS.  I have double checked and both programs are set for the sRGB color space.  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop and the problem persists.  All my apps are up to date.  Any ideas for me as to what is going on?  Screen shot attached.  The difference is subtle but noticeable to me, especially in the skin tones.  Also, I am viewing them on the same screen. !

Hi brearobthat sounds frustratingyouve apparently done the right thing with sRGB one issue that can cause problems like this is a corrupt or incompatible monitor display profile. I suggest you make a new display profile (and yes, make sure its not V4 format, your software should offer that as an option)good luckplease report back on hiw how it goes. neil barstowcolourmanagement

Could you clarify how you set Photoshop to sRGB? If you mean you are setting the Color Settings Working Space to sRGB, that would affect an RGB document with no color profile assignment, but not one with an embedded profile.

The difference in the images looks like the expected difference between sRGB and Adobe RGB, so you might want to double check the image assignment in PS via Edit>Assign Profile...

Here I've duplicated the document with sRGB and AdobeRGB assigned and I get the same red shift you are showing.
