My 2021 version of DW is not displaying the default code colors. I have tried all the interface fixes with no luck. Please see screen shot of the issue.

One thing  you could check is your operating system's color mode.  If you're using Dark Mode, try disabling it as a test.

Thanks, I was able to fix it.

You have to go to Settings > Fonts and select a whole new font set and then Apply.

That forces DW to refresh the code view. Works greate now!!  🙂

I tried opening a new document, saving it, re-opening it, attaching a CSS file to it, and even re-installing DW and still the code syntax is not showing colors.

I've also tried switching interfaces and creating my own, editing the main.less document...

Make sure your computer meets minimum CPU & GPU requirements. Most Creative Cloud apps work on:

  • Windows 11 (64-bit), Windows 10 versions 22H2, 21H2, 21H1;
  • MacOS 13 (Ventura), 12 (Monterey), macOS 11 (Big Sur).

Try Restoring Preferences.

Save untitled document to your local site folder as TEST.html.

Close & restart Dreamweaver.

Can you see the code after...

  • Toggling between Design & Live with Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + F11.
  • Clicking on multiColumnTemplate.css tab.
  • Choosing another Code Color theme from Preferences > Interface.
